For those who do not know First Priority HHS is a part of First Priority Tampa Bay which is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit which helps students to create an environment on their school campuses to share the HOPE of Christ. By partnering with local churches and the community, we seek to serve the whole school. The primary way we connect with schools is through weekly campus club meetings which are student-initiated, student-led, and youth leader guided. By equipping and training student leaders, community pastors and faculty sponsors, we are able to bridge the local church to schools in the following ways:
- Sharing the H.O.P.E of Christ with every student on middle and high school campuses
- Providing resources to schools such as supplies and other items
- Providing support to schools by mobilizing volunteers
THE H.O.P.E STRATEGY:
Our club operates on a four week cycle utilizing the H.O.P.E strategy:
1) Help: Help/empower students by answering questions they may have about the Christian faith
2) Overcome: Provide motivation and inspiration to students so they can overcome their fear and doubts about sharing their faith
3) Prepare: Help students to understand the significance of their own life story and how to share it with others
4) Engage: Equip students to engage their school campus for Christ. This is the last week of the HOPE cycle, and students are encouraged to invite their friends to hear the Gospel message. All student are invited to participate in Engage week activities.
The H.O.P.E initiative is repeated throughout the school year, giving each club 9 opportunities to invite their friends to hear the Gospel message and to understand the Christian faith. All students are invited and welcome to club meetings/activities, no matter their faith or background. The First Priority club is NOT a Bible study. Meetings are a safe, friendly place for students to ask questions, seek community, and find support from a trusted pastor/guide or teacher.
